Landmark: Victoria Peak

I had a long day waking up at 5 AM to take a series of subways and trains up to Shenzen for some meetings. I was hot and sweaty and in the kind of meeting clothes that aren’t great for being hot and sweaty in. Anyway, I can’t complain… I made it back to Hong Kong just as the sunset, so I headed u...

Just before sunset I found a really cool bar near IFC2 where I chilled out with a book and a tripod. I got up every few minutes when the light changed - this was one of my favorites!

Landmark: IFC

I took this picture of the IFC and Statue Square at dusk. You can see one of the old Hong Kong trams in the foreground.
The thing I like about this shot is that is shows the old and new of Hong Kong: the colonial buildings in Statue Sq and the ultra-contemporary IFC.

A shot of the horses and jockeys on the race track at Happy Valley. The races happen every Wednesday evening and it's such a fun thing to do if you're visiting Hong Kong. Tickets are super cheap and there's food, beer and betting for all.

Landmark: The Twins and Violet Hill
-
Taken from Stage 1 of the Wilson Trail in Tai Tam Country Park, Hong Kong. The 4.8 km trail goes from Stanley to Wong Nai Chung Gap. You'd think it'd take under an hour to walk that, but oh no - look at those peaks - it takes 2 hours and 2,000 steps up and down. Ouch.

Landmark: Wanchai

Bright lights and busy streets of Hong Kong during rush hour. This was taken from the top deck of one of the city's old trams, a great way to get around town for just HK$2 per trip (about 20p / 40c).
The tram was on Hennessey Road in Wanchai here.
