From a trip to guilin in China at a south village called Yangshuo - it is rapidly being taken over by tourists - I recomend going before its too late. got a pretty cheap boat trip from the north down into Yangshuo. our guide let us stop to buy some water melon and take a dip in the river.     4. If you visit Yangshuo (and you should!) make sure you rent bikes and cycle into the surrounding countryside. We followed a track along the Yulong River from Yangshuo to the Yulong Bridge. It takes about 3 hours, but isn't tough at all. [more]
