This is an INCREDIBLE photo! When did you visit the Grand Canyon? Do you have any more shots like this?

For the last 32 years, friends and I have made a rim-to-rim-to-rim hike in the Canyon: Walk 21 miles from South Rim to North Rim on Saturday via South and North Kaibab trails; spend that night and Sunday on the North (with a 5-mile stretch-out hike); then return to the South Rim on Monday (23 miles, due to ascending via Bright Angel Trail). I have probably a thousand pix made both in the inner gorge and on the rims. Glad you liked this.

We usually make our rim-to-rim-to-rim hikes over Memorial Day weekend, although two years, when the trail was washed out, we waited until Labor Day weekend. It's always a toss-up regarding the weather. North Rim, at 8,400 feet, often has snow. Bottom of the canyon, 1,100 feet may be 100 degrees F. Whatever the case, it's always magnificant. Cheers.

Thanks, Izzy. In November I'm going to visit a remote "slot canyon" at Lake Powell. I'm hoping to get some interesting snow and light filtration shots. Will post them on Iolo if anything good results.
