Getting up at 5am to drive the 2 hours from Cochin to this rural river was one of the best things I did in India.
Forget about other tourists, we were the only ones there as the mahouts brought down their large charges for a morning wash and coconut husk exfoliation. |

Amazing! So lucky to get so close to an elephant.
