I'm travelling to Krabi in Feb 2008. I know that Thailand is swamped by tourists so want to be as responsible as possible and stay in a green hotel. Does anyone know of any in this area. I'm not having much luck online.
From 1 January 2008 you can stay at the Langham Place Eco Resort + Spa, which is an eco friendly resort.
This is what their website says about the hotel: "where luxury accommodations coexist in perfect harmony with awe-inspiring natural landscapes, will be recognised as one of the finest luxury hotels in Krabi. Extending directly from the beach up to the hillside overlooking Klong Tob Bay, accommodations at this seclusive Koh Lanta resort range from deluxe rooms with magnificent sea views to immense luxury villas with private swimming pools.
While some days at this luxury Krabi resort are perfect for lounging by one of our four swimming pools, including a unique ocean pool, others may be perfect for diving, snorkeling, sailing, working-out, tennis, mountain biking or exploring nature at its finest-by land or by sea.
A total of six restaurants and bars featuring everything from fresh seafood to Mediterranean cuisine to pub-style fare are all on hand to whet your appetite."
