Comfortable Seating
Six way adjustable leather headrests let every customer rest comfortably with no neck discomfort. Our seat and back cushions are thoroughly tested and designed for maximum comfort. And most of our tray tables can slide, giving you the option to set your laptop, drink, or book in the most convenient position.
Expanded Overhead Bins
we've installed overhead bin extensions to increase carry-on space. These extensions allow you to store your roll-aboard bag wheels end first into the overhead bins making boarding and deplaning easier. Look inside the bins for the placard identifying the new bin extensions.
Power Up
American offers more powerports than any other U.S. airline. Your seat may be equipped with a "cigarette lighter" style outlet delivering 15 volts of direct current. On most aircraft, a power outlet is available at each seat.
Entertainment
If you are traveling on a Boeing 777, American Airlines is currently transitioning from an analog tape based system to an audio/video on demand digital system. During the transition on our analog B777 aircraft you will enjoy a personal video monitor with 10 channels of programming.
On select Boeing 767 flights in premium cabins, a personal Inflight Theater offers additional entertainment including a Bose® Acoustic Noise Cancelling® Headset, personal media player with a selection of up to 14 movies, 900 minutes of TV and short-subject programming, 50 music CDs and 14 American Airlines branded audio channels.
Wireless Internet Service
The Fort Worth-based carrier has partnered with communications firm Aircell to provide the wireless Internet service, dubbed “Gogo.” Customers will pay $12.95 on flights more than three hours, and $9.95 on shorter trips.
It was an old plane and configuration. No seat TV. Food sandwiches - hamburger or chicken burger. The steward was brilliant! Introduced his golf game over speaker, thanked us personally for flying and shook our hands! Lifted the cases down for one woman, so attentive!! Brilliant! It was a very bumpy flight in parts.
I had a wonderful experience when flying American Airlines over the Thanksgiving holidays. I flew from Nashville to Washington, D.C the Friday before Thanksgiving and then back to Nashville the Friday after Thanksgiving. I was very pleased with every component of my flying experience when traveling in both directions. When I got to the check-in counter for my outgoing flight, I realized that I had didn’t know my confirmation number and the American Airlines worker was more than willing to look up my information and write the number down for me so I could enter it into the check-in system. The check-in computer system itself was very straightforward as well. Using the touch screens, all passengers can check in, print out their boarding pass, and pay to check bags in a matter of seconds, which really cuts down on time spent waiting in lines. The attendants at the counter quickly weighed my bags and sent me on my way to go through security. The friendly scanners at the gates and the welcome that I received when stepping onto the plane made the flight process less daunting and more enjoyable than other on airlines which I have recently flown. The cleanliness of the airplane, the down-to-the-minute preciseness of flight lengths, and the outgoing flight attendants were first-rate as well. Arriving to both destinations early and exiting the plane swiftly were icing on the cake. My recent experience with American Airlines was terrific and I was able to relax throughout the flying experience more than I ever have.
Check in faultless and most efficient I have ever seen. Flight on time, service excellent, friendly crew and good choice of beverages and food.
