Dolby Headphone Personal Cinema
Enjoy sound effects so real they virtually immerse you in the movie. Dolby Headphone is a revolutionary surround-sound format that encodes the 5.1 Dolby Digital movie sound track information onto a stereo soundtrack. When heard through stereo headphones, it projects five virtual speakers around the listener, each with a distinct audio channel. As all encoding is done on the media, no equipment changes to the aircraft are necessary. In addition to replicating realistic surround sound effects, the Dolby Headphone also reduces listener fatigue with the centre virtual speaker dedicated for movie dialogue. It's just like being in a cinema at your seat.
110 V AC in-seat power supply
Our 110 V AC in-seat power supply system keeps you connected to your favourite software, games, and music from your laptop for the entire flight. Singapore Airlines offers in-seat power supply systems in all classes on the A340-500 and B777-300ER aircraft.

We understand your need to stay connected. A personal in-seat telephone allows you to make calls to virtually anywhere in the world via a global satellite network. For the music lover, choose from an extensive library of 700 CDs and over 20 radio channels. Amenity Kits
For added comfort, individual Economy Class amenity kits comprising a toothbrush set and a pair of knitted socks will be presented by your cabin crew on overnight flights exceeding four and a half hours and day flights exceeding eight hours.
Toiletries
A range of toiletries including eau de cologne, aftershave lotion and moisturising hand lotion are available in all Economy Class lavatories. Additionally, toothbrush sets, combs, and disposable razors sets are also available. No matter how long your travels, you’ll arrive refreshed and ready to go.
Reading & Writing Pleasure
To stay in touch, a writing kit comprising postcards, envelopes, and writing pad is available upon request. Passengers can also catch up on home news, leisure, sports, entertainment, and other interests through our selection of newspapers and magazines -- specially catered to suit your needs depending upon your travel route.

Check-in Option
Counter Check-In
For Singapore Changi Airport, customers holding confirmed flight reservations on Singapore Airlines may check in up to 48 hours before flight departure with their baggage. * Terminal 2: First Class and Business Class passengers may check in at counters at Row 4 while Economy Class passengers may check in at counters at Row 8. * Terminal 3: First Class and Business Class passengers may check in at counters at Row 6 while Economy Class passengers may check in at counters at Rows 3 and 4. This service is available daily from 6.30 am to 12.00 midnight.
Self Service Check-In
This mode of check-in is available to all passengers with confirmed bookings on Singapore Airlines. Passengers will be able to check-in for the flight, select seats and print their boarding pass. These machines are situated at: * Row 5 (Business Class) and Row 9 (Economy Class) of Changi Airport Terminal 2. * Row 6 (Business Class) and Row 4 (Economy Class) of Changi Airport Terminal 3.
Downtown Check-in
If you are travelling without checked baggage, you may check in for your SIA flight at our Singapore Airlines Service Centre at Paragon. You may check in as early as 48 hours, but no later than 2 hours, from the scheduled departure time of your flight. Please arrive at your respective Terminal of departure no later than 1 hour before departure.
Internet Check-in
Save time at the airport and confirm your preferred seat. Internet check-In is available from 2 to 48 hours before departure, from all cities in our network except Colombo. Internet check-in is now available for flight SQ421and SQ423 departing daily from Mumbai (BOM).
SMS Check-in
Singapore Airlines is pleased to offer you our new SMS Check-in service designed to reduce hassle and offer more convenience should you be on the go. You'll be able to check-in 48 hours before your departure. You'll also be able to through check-in for your trip or check-in on your return flight. SMS Check-in is currently available for flights operated by Singapore Airlines with the exception of flights departing from Colombo. The service is unavailable for mobile phone subscribers in Canada, Japan, Korea and USA.
Return Check-in
You may check in for your return flight at the same time, provided it is within 48 hours of your departure. Only checked baggage to your first destination will be accepted. If you have any luggage on your return flight, it must be checked in again prior to the departure of your return trip.

* Weight Concept Adults & Children (age 2+):20 kg assengers will incur an additional charge for any baggage exceeding the 30 kg limit. Infants:10 kg * Piece Concept To/from Canada and USA Two pieces, of baggage are allowed. The total dimension (length + width + height) of both pieces must not exceed 273 cm (107 in) and the outside linear dimensions of each bag must not exceed 158 cm (62 in.) The weight of each piece is limited to 32 kg. Infants are entitled to one piece. In addition, a fully collapsible stroller or pushchair, carry-cot and infant items may be checked in without charge.

Under the SIA Cabin Baggage Policy, each passenger will be allowed the following: * Quantity : 1 piece * * Dimension : Length + Breadth + Height(including protrusions) must not exceed 115 cm (45 inches) in total subject to stowability. * Weight : Up to 7 kgs

The best feature of this flight is that the place is completely fitted with SIA's new 76cm wide Biz Class seats! The configuration is 1-2-1 and all seats are forward facing, so no stepping over your neighbours to get to the aisle. Lots of compartments to store your gadgets and travel gear, plus a systems that means you don't even need to travel with your computer - just a USB that you can plug into the Sun MicroSystem StarOffice platform that SIA runs. You can connect your iPod, digital camera etc into the plane's system and access your own personal IFE system on the big flatscreens. Fantastic food such as lobster, duck, phad thai, cheese and a super comfortable flat-bed. The ticket prices start at around USD15,000 so this is not a cheap flight. The impeccable service makes it worthwhile for business travellers in every respect though.

Check in at Changi – what an experience! Private Lounge in First Class! By invitation only!! Why was I picked? No idea!! Maybe because I was cool. Breakfast cooked to perfection – staff who are so ‘over-attentive’ it’s scarey! You are escorted in to the “Club Privee” then met by another Lounge member – who then offers you a myriad of different options! Great service though…wonderful food. One problem! The knife design (obviously Swedish!) made it hard to use!! Arrival on the plane – equally enjoyable. Plane felt a little old – very clean, but maybe I am wrong about age! Not the new excellent cool FC units one expects nowadays! Food exquisite – steak to perfection, wines superb with examples to make your mouth water! Pity it was a midday flight with more meetings and work, otherwise I would have thoroughly enjoyed this lavish experience. Thanks SIA!

The outer 2 seats have huge bins between the seat and the fuselage side. Entertainment system brilliant.No complaints about the food and drink with a seemingly constant supply of juice / water etc.
