Entertainment aboard KLM’s Boeing 747 and MD11 aircraft
Enjoy hit films, popular television series, news and documentaries on a large screen. Rather listen to music? Then choose from 12 specially programmed audio channels giving you a range of musical styles. At the end of 2008, the entertainment system in the MD11s, including seats in Economy Class, will be updated to provide a personal screen with an on-demand video system, games, text messaging and e-mail services, and the three new programs listed above.
Entertainment aboard KLM’s Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft
All seats in all classes in KLM’s Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft have their own personal screen and an interactive entertainment system that provide you with films and television, text messaging and e-mail service. On September 1, the existing line of films, games, music, hit TV series and documentaries will be enlarged. And three new programs will be introduced: language courses, audio books and a business program.

Passengers who depart from the Netherlands or the United Kingdom and have a confirmed reservation for a flight by KLM, AIR FRANCE, Northwest Airlines, Kenya Airways or an airline partner for which the ticket has a KL- or AF-flight number, can make use of the check-in by telephone. For passengers traveling with hold luggage, checking in by telephone is only possible if they leave from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol or London Heathrow.

Flight was long, noisy, cramped, uncomfortable and the food was hideous. I had to ask twice for earplugs to drown out the sound of noisy passengers having a chat in the gangway. Couldn't hear the in-flight entertainment over my headphones, and there were no individual screens on each seat, just a TV in the ceiling. I was very happy to arrive in Hong Kong!

Economy Class: Very hectic crew staff, uncomfortable seats, no personal video screens. Headphones for Video/Radio low quality, no possibility to plug your own regular earphones to enhance quality. I do not recommend KLM economy for long distance flights. Business Class in this airplane is a different story: Personal Screens, very comfortable seats, Food and drinks on demand.

Crew very friendly and warm towards passengers. Comfortable seats and legroom good. Inflight video screen was a little small but fine. Meals excellent, snacks and drinks served throughout the flight.

Flight attendants were unfriendly, seats way too small for someone who is 1.95m tall! Inflight entertainment did not work properly and I was left trying to watch at a screen 5m away. On top of this, the price of a return flight was fixed at a ridiculously high price of EUR 800! Only the food was OK.
